If I could choose to put one thing into Room 101, so that it would disappear forever, it would be the Bradford Road Surgery, staff included.
I personally have had many bad experiences with the practice. From reception staff to the doctors themselves.
What needs to improve?
Reception staff. Undoubtedly the worst experience of this surgery that needs the most improvement. They vary from being patronising, unhelpful and obstructive to being downright rude and nasty. It seems their primary function is to deny the patient access to the doctors. They seem to have little understanding of the concept of confidentiality as they can clearly be heard discussing patients personal and medical details in the reception area.
Management. Do not bother to complain or offer positive criticism as all you will receive in return will be patronising platitudes. Do not expect your concerns to be investigated properly. If you keep persisting with your complaint you will find the whole surgery closes ranks on you, until you are ultimately threatened with deregistration from the practice.
Doctors. Too many part time and locum doctors. This means you have to keep explaining over and over the same things relating to your illness or treatment.
In conclusion. I am absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of this surgery they seriously need to start treating their patients with more dignity, respect and professionalism.
